What is the electrocardiogram reading of Hyperkalemia?

A serum potassium level higher than 5.1 mEq/L indicates hyperkalemia.

Electrocardiographic changes include:
  • flat P waves
  • prolonged PR intervals
  • widened QRS complexes
  • and tall peaked T waves
